Local Food festival planned – your help needed.

Thanks very much to those people who’ve volunteered to help out at the Blaydon Burn Local Food Festival on Sat 15th. July this year. It’s shaping up to be yet another great day. Also thanks to those who’ve got back to say they can’t make it but offering other help. Here’s the link if you missed it first time round.

We hope you’ll be able to come along and take part in this great festival. But we still need help please. We can meet transport and dependant care costs, plus you get free entry to the festival and a voucher for your lunch from the stalls. Also you will get time just to be at the festival, as there will be a rota.
For the festival to run safely and for the organisers’ health and sanity we URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP. I know it seems early but if we don’t get enough people for it to run we may need to review what we can do. (Just in case you don’t know and it makes a difference, we’re all volunteers too and don’t make any personal money from the festival.)

We need help on the gates (collecting money, giving info and directions), with car parking (although we hope as many people as possible will travel by public transport), with making hot drinks including fresh herbal teas, selling plants, children’s activities, doing the tombola and general runners. We also need help in advance (Publicity and delivering leaflets) and setting up, and afterwards with clearing up and taking things back to where they live. (Could be next day).
Please get in touch on here or at info@transitionwestgateshead.org.
THANK YOU!

A lovely time at Blaydon Burn Farm
