Reuse, Repair, Recycle
Another Reuse Repair Recycle event with TWiG, The Bank Chopwell and The Methodist Church Chopwell.
Saturday September 30st. 11am -3p.m.
3 venues:
Community Centre, Derwent St, NE17 7HS for map of what’s on, all info, local stalls, tombola, café.
The Bank, Derwent St, NE17 7HU for FixIt Repairs café and to find out what they do about food waste.
Trinity Methodist Church, 2 Tay St, NE17 7DG for Give and Take table and clothing repairs.
Free entry (donations welcome).
Bring any good quality item that you don’t want – presents, kitchen equipment, books , clothes, in fact anything that works and is clean. Put it on the Give and Take table. Take something in return, if you want. Or if you don’t have anything to swap, you can give us a small donation. Or might you have too many courgettes, apples, any crops at all? Bring your surplus to swap with others. Or just take something for a donation.
FixIt Café will be there, helping you to find out if that favourite item is mendable and passing on their skills. Bring broken things or tools or specialist knowledge. Between us we will work out if it can be fixed, then how to fix it. We also hope to have free cycle safety checks and basic repairs.
Lots of friendly people to chat to about TWiG and climate change and what you can do.
We will have stalls from other Gateshead groups who are helping to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and a tombola. More details to follow on the Facebook page:
