Reuse it or Lose it – great success!

Hello everyone,

lovely to see many of you at the Use it or Lose It event at Winlaton last Saturday.

It was fantastic, our best yet I think. About 200 people passed through, bringing and taking a mass of previously unwanted things; bringing items for repair by FixIt Café, Chopwell Men’s shed, Recyke y’ bike and Durham Software Skills Exchange; learning about recycling and composting from Gateshead Council, Groundwork and the Hop Garden and eating and drinking the lovely food prepared by the Winlaton Centre (some from the Fareshare waste food project). Huge thanks to all who took part and helped on the day. There are photos on our Facebook page as well.
